Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to every quotation and order with ExtrusionStar.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to every quotation and order between Idas Consulting & Trading Ltd. (Company No. 12499952, VAT 367266272), trading as ExtrusionStar ("we", "us"), and the customer ("you"). By accepting a quotation, you agree to these terms.
2. Our role
We are a sourcing company, not a manufacturer. We source, coordinate and manage the production of your order through our network of independent manufacturing partners in Türkiye, the UK and beyond.
3. Minimum order
Each profile is produced in a minimum production run of 300 kg per order. If you need a smaller quantity, ask us when you request a quote and we'll tell you whether it's possible.
4. Quotations and aluminium prices
Quotations are based on the drawings, specifications and quantities you provide. Unless otherwise stated, a quotation is valid for 7 days from the date it is issued. Our prices reflect the aluminium market price (LME) on the date of the quotation; if the quotation has expired, or the aluminium price changes significantly before you confirm your order, we may update the price. Prices, lead times and specifications are confirmed in writing before production begins.
5. Dies
If your profile needs a new extrusion die, its cost is shown separately in your quotation.
6. Drawings and specifications
You're responsible for the accuracy of any drawings, specifications or information you provide. You keep ownership of your designs; we use them only to prepare your quote and fulfil your order.
7. Tolerances
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, dimensions and shapes are supplied to the standard tolerances of EN 755-9, or EN 12020-2 for precision profiles in alloys 6060 and 6063. As is usual in extrusion, the quantity delivered may vary by up to 10% above or below the quantity ordered, and you'll be invoiced for the quantity delivered.
8. Samples and approval
For a new profile, first samples are sent to you for approval, and production starts only once you have approved them.
9. Payment
Payment terms are agreed and confirmed in your quotation on an order-by-order basis.
10. Cancellations and changes
Orders can be cancelled or changed free of charge before production begins at the partner facility. Once production has started, the order can no longer be cancelled, as partner costs have already been committed.
11. Delivery and risk
We coordinate packing, shipment and delivery to your site. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Delivery dates are estimates agreed in the quotation and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.
12. Title
Ownership (title) of the goods remains with us until we've received payment in full.
13. Quality and inspection
Please inspect your order promptly on delivery. Any defect or discrepancy should be reported to us within 3 business days of delivery so we can resolve it with the relevant partner.
14. Product use and installation
Our responsibility covers the products we supply: that they match the specification agreed in your order and are free from defects in materials and manufacture. We have no control over, and usually no knowledge of, where, how or under what conditions the products will be used, or how they will be installed or assembled. We are therefore not responsible for their suitability for your particular application, or for any loss or damage that results from their use, operating conditions, installation, assembly, maintenance or modification rather than from a defect in the products themselves. It is your responsibility to make sure the products are suitable for their intended use and are installed by competent people in line with the relevant standards and regulations.
15. Liability
Our total liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of profit or business). Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
16. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
17. Confidentiality
We keep your drawings and project information confidential. We share them only with the manufacturing partners who quote for and produce your order, and use them for nothing else.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
