How It Works
Your profile, from first enquiry to final delivery.
We coordinate every stage of your order through our trusted manufacturing network, from reviewing your requirements and finding a suitable die to arranging finishing, fabrication and delivery. You work with one dedicated team throughout, with clear specifications and agreed approval stages.
- 1
Share Your Profile
Start with your drawing, sketch or sample.
Send us the profile you need, together with your required lengths, quantities and preferred finish. PDF, DXF, DWG or STEP files are helpful, but a sketch or photographs of an existing sample are enough to start the conversation. If you know the alloy, temper or dimensional tolerances required, include those too.
Tell us how the profiles will be used, where they need to be delivered and your target delivery date. If some details are still undecided, we will help identify the information needed to obtain a meaningful quotation.
- Profile drawing, sketch or sample photographs
- Required lengths and quantities
- Alloy, temper and tolerances, where specified
- Surface finish and any machining requirements
- Delivery postcode and target date

- 2
Design Review And Die Check
Explore existing tooling before committing to a new die.
Working with our manufacturing partners, we review your profile geometry, dimensions and intended application. We look at features that may affect extrusion, finishing or machining and raise any points that need clarification before the specification is agreed.
We also search our partners’ die libraries for a suitable existing section. A confirmed match may save the cost and lead time of new tooling. If a similar profile is available, we show you the differences so you can decide whether it meets your needs. Where a bespoke die is required, any proposed drawing changes are discussed with you before proceeding.
- Profile review with the manufacturing partner
- Existing die searches and section comparisons
- Clarification of critical dimensions and tolerances
- Customer approval of any proposed design changes

- 3
Partner Match And Quote
The right manufacturing partner, one clear quotation.
We match your order with the partner best suited to its profile size, complexity, alloy, quantity and finish. Our trusted manufacturing network gives us access to different production capabilities and helps us offer highly competitive pricing, particularly on powder coated and wood finish profiles.
Your quotation sets out the agreed supply scope, including tooling where required, profiles, finishing, machining and delivery arrangements. We identify any outstanding details and confirm the estimated lead time and payment terms, so you can review the complete proposal before placing your order.
- Partner selection based on your specific requirements
- Clear pricing for the agreed supply scope
- Tooling and sample arrangements where applicable
- Estimated lead time and delivery terms
- One point of contact for questions and order confirmation

- 4
Die And Sample Approval
Review the first samples before the main production run.
Once the order and tooling details are agreed, a new die is made where required and the manufacturing partner produces initial samples. We coordinate dimensional checks against the agreed drawing and arrange samples for your review.
You can assess the profile’s dimensions, fit and any agreed finish or machining details. If adjustments are needed, we coordinate feedback with the partner and agree the next steps with you. For orders requiring sample approval, the main production run proceeds only after that approval has been received.
- New die manufacture coordinated where required
- Sample measurements against the agreed drawing
- Physical samples and finish samples as agreed
- Feedback and any necessary revisions coordinated
- Customer approval before the main production run

- 5
Extrusion, Finishing And Fabrication
Your approved specification carried through production.
The selected partner extrudes your profiles and completes the finishing and fabrication included in your order. Profiles may be supplied in mill finish, powder coated in your specified colour or given a woodgrain finish. Cutting, drilling, milling, tapping and other agreed operations are coordinated to your drawings.
The production sequence is planned around the required result, including whether particular machining operations should take place before or after finishing. Our partners carry out the agreed inspections, and we review their reports and supporting photographs before approving dispatch. We keep you informed of progress and raise any issues requiring your decision.
- Extrusion to the agreed profile specification
- Powder coating or woodgrain finishing where ordered
- Cutting and machining to approved drawings
- Review of partner inspection reports and photographs
- Production updates through your dedicated contact

- 6
Packing And Delivery
Protected for the journey and delivered to your site.
We coordinate packing to suit the profile lengths, surface finish and transport route. Depending on the order, this may include protective film, interleaving, edge protection, wrapped bundles, pallets or timber crates. Bundle identification and labelling requirements are agreed before dispatch.
Delivery is arranged by truck or container as appropriate. We confirm the destination, site access and unloading arrangements with you, then coordinate shipment updates so you can prepare for arrival. From factory dispatch to delivery, you continue to deal with the same team.
- Packing selected to protect the profiles and their finish
- Bundle identification and labelling as agreed
- Truck or container delivery arrangements
- Site access and unloading requirements confirmed
- Dispatch and delivery updates through one contact
